Hello everyone,
This is Anton checking in from HOH camp with a bittersweet update regarding the band. As some of you know, we have been in quite the silence for a while. To clear up the tumbleweed of events. I am going to be open and honest with all of you and say we are currently in debt like no other. In the process of recording our newest record, we got pretty screwed financially (by a few unforeseen things that i dont feel right discussing at the moment), and for that reason, it put a halt on the printing of our record, the replenishment of merchandise in our store, rewards for the kickstarter, and even gas to hit the road. We were so financially hurt that certain members were taking the burden of it all on their own, and as a band we pretty much fell apart. We are all still great friends and moved on to a few new chapters. Matt Black joined up with the California act Briertone, Mike Neely works for a sweet little coffee shop down in his stomping grounds, Gabe Davis is kicking back in Florida, Josh Lucas goes to school full time at a salon (so if your ever in California, do not hesitate to contact him to cut your hair. He does great work), and I will be making a record in mid April (stay tuned). I wanted to apologize from the bottom of my heart for the silence that we put you through, and wanted to let you know that we are still working to get each and every one of you reimbursed. Thank you all so much for your patience and being there. As for the many years of Holding Onto Hope, we are not saying farewell, but just a goodbye for now. Call it a hiatus if you will. Cant promise anything, but you may get another record from us in the near future. Once again thank you all so much for being who you are as fans. Stay posted on our facebook page for updates regarding things. Peace, love, and blessings. Over and out.

FIVE HOURS LEFT! SPREAD THE WORD!
Like Paul, “a great and effective door” has been opened to us, and “there are many adversaries”. (1 Cor. 16:9)
We have been given the wonderful opportunity to travel extensively through-out Europe on a Missional Come&Live! tour in October & November of this year. The tour (featuring our artists Showbread & Holding Onto Hope) will focus on a majority of Non-Christian clubs, bars and music venues in addition to a Christian festival and stops at schools & churches. We are also planning to document and release two unique perspectives of the experience. One will be the experience through the eyes of Showbread & Holding Onto Hope and the other will be through the lens of our film-maker friend, Andy Reale. We consider our touring “missional” because everywhere we go is an opportunity to express love to the world - gas stations, Malls, street corners, venues, etc. Our sole purpose in going is to love God and serve others - challenging a generation to do the same.
This opportunity will not be possible apart from the funds we raise here on IndieGoGo to cover our travel expenses to Europe. We do not have a back-up funding plan - we’re learning to trust Jesus every step along the way, believing He is always faithful and always good.
Would you support this effort that we could show forth the hope of Jesus Christ in Europe?
We are called to “Bear Fruit - Fruit that will last” (John 15:16) There is no greater impact that we can muster than lives eternally changed by the kindness of God. Last year at one festival alone we were able to pray individually for over 1,000 kids. This summer we have experienced salvation, spiritual/physical/emotional healing, baptisms, and in general, thousands of youth drawn closer to the knowledge and presence of God. In addition to being present to hug, love, pray, and encourage thousands, we plan on releasing two documentaries, allowing us to further encourage and equip believers all around the world.
We need $13,000 to accomplish everything that God has placed before us.
The funds from this campaign will cover airline tickets for Showbread, Holding Onto Hope and C&L! Staff members. It will also help us cover the cost of manufacturing “incentives” as part of this campaign and expenses related to producing the documentaries. Any overage amount will go towards other tour-related expenses such as Transportation rentals, Back-line gear, Lodging, etc.
We are offering donors exclusive “perks” that are only available here on IndieGoGo!
- Pray for us! We believe God hears and answers the prayers of His children!

old ghosts
i can feel them breathing
breathing the poison back, inside my lungs
oh how i thought, this feeling was gone
i was robbed, i was robbed, i was wrong
blind is the one who opens his eyes the most
you i blamed, when i was the host
the carrier
beholding the awful gift, of poison
take it all away,
im on my knees let me say..
i was robbed, to be yours again
to walk in your path
blind is the one who opens his eyes the most
you i blamed..
the carrier
beholding the awful gift, of poison
im sorry for the things i’m done
(im sorry for what i’ve become)
the awful gift of memory
the scar that scarred my spirit
the snake around my heart
it will never stop haunting
it will never stop.

This devotional was taken from “My Utmost For His Highest” By Oswald Chambers on 2/25/11. http://www.utmost.org/
Natural human love expects something in return. But Paul is saying, “It doesn’t really matter to me whether you love me or not. I am willing to be completely destitute anyway; willing to be poverty-stricken, not just for your sakes, but also that I may be able to get you to God.” “For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor …” (2 Corinthians 8:9). And Paul’s idea of service was the same as our Lord’s. He did not care how high the cost was to himself— he would gladly pay it. It was a joyful thing to Paul.
The institutional church’s idea of a servant of God is not at all like Jesus Christ’s idea. His idea is that we serve Him by being the servants of others. Jesus Christ actually “out-socialized” the socialists. He said that in His kingdom the greatest one would be the servant of all (see Matthew 23:11). The real test of a saint is not one’s willingness to preach the gospel, but one’s willingness to do something like washing the disciples’ feet— that is, being willing to do those things that seem unimportant in human estimation but count as everything to God. It was Paul’s delight to spend his life for God’s interests in other people, and he did not care what it cost. But before we will serve, we stop to ponder our personal and financial concerns— “What if God wants me to go over there? And what about my salary? What is the climate like there? Who will take care of me? A person must consider all these things.” All that is an indication that we have reservations about serving God. But the apostle Paul had no conditions or reservations. Paul focused his life on Jesus Christ’s idea of a New Testament saint; that is, not one who merely proclaims the gospel, but one who becomes broken bread and poured-out wine in the hands of Jesus Christ for the sake of others.
Another one from Oswald Chambers, I couldn’t help but to share this. I hope you find it as awesome and encouraging as we did.
Love,
-Josh, Anton, Mike, Matt, and Gabe
